Confetti Bonbonnieres
Wedding favors are also called bonbonnieres or bombonnieres, and in many cultures often contain confetti.
Confetti are small candy, most often almonds coated with candy. Confetti is a very traditional favor item, and is almost expected at weddings in certain cultures, such as Italian.
Confetti bonbonnieres are also quite affordable, as candy and wrappings are fairly inexpensive. A simple handful of confetti serves as one bonbonniere, and is usually enclosed in little boxes or tulle tied with ribbon.
Confetti bonbonnieres can be created to match any wedding theme. Confetti comes in every color of the rainbow! You can also have silver, gold or white confetti and have the trimmings - boxes or tulle, ribbons and tags – coordinate with your wedding colors.
See our Bulk Wedding Favors section for information on sourcing confetti and trimmings in bulk.
Our best tip is to look outside the wedding industry at bulk candy stores, etc., as you will often pay a premium at wedding stores for items that are identical to the ‘normal’ type you’ll find elsewhere.
Enjoy putting your confetti bonbonnieres together (enlist your friends and bridesmaids to help!), and remember to take full advantage of the money-saving tips in our recommended Wedding Guides – see sidebar for details. Happy wedding planning!
